Those of you who have been given the Spirit of prophecy, as described in Acts 2:17, should take time to listen carefully to God before rushing to your iPhone and posting what God has revealed to you on social media.

Granted, Acts 2:17 says, “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.”

Do not use the name of God in gambling, betting, or guessing and then claim that God has revealed something to you in the process. As Christians, we serve an all-powerful God whose name should never be exploited to divide the body of Christ.

Ichibemba chitila: Lesa ni Kalungu, Mwine Kuni na Menshi.(Lt: God is the blast furnace, the owner of the wood and water. M: God is the creator of the earth and heaven).

The Bible says, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1. Then, in your wisdom, you decide to degrade him to the status of a gambler. Simply conduct your research or make your predictions without mentioning God’s name. Alternatively, be forthright and specific about the God to which you are referring before we presume that you are referring to the God of the Bible.

Now, pay attention and take note; “God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?” (Numbers 23:19 ESV).

We all have to realise that man is a flawed being with imperfections. As a result, he does not possess God’s capabilities and never will.

Men and women of God, there is a lot more you can do to recruit men and women for the kingdom of heaven than turning God into a gambler. You can do it without ruining the fellowship that has been established among Christians. For instance, preach and disseminate the teachings of Galatians 5:17-21, which are directed against the fruits of the flesh;

“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

Are we together!
