Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don’t wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it’s at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored.

Earl Nightingale

Time in life is the only factor with the highest potential to change everything literally apart from itself. With time the most beautiful and attractive faces have become seriously ugly due to wrinkles.

Time is the only vehicle that has transported the one-time ordinary boy to the place of honour and recognition. It can turn a poor prince into the most revered king and place him on the throne. The great men of every generation, the likes of Robert Mugabe are compelled to swallow the bitter pill of becoming an ordinary man only by time. Admittedly, what status does time in this regard deserve?

Time certainly qualifies to be crowned the status of denominator as it is the fulcrum of every change that takes place in human endeavour. It is, however, worth noting that time is the only commodity without surplus as it is never enough. Even those who live beyond one hundred years still feel they have not lived enough. It is the only reason the adage, “Life is short,” is to date always cherished even by the most learned.

Among the many attributes that rightly fit time, those usually used by successful people include;

  • Time is money: The evidence is that those who invest in proper time management always find it easy to succeed. There is time for everything, and if you miss your time, you’ll surely curse yourself for being unfortunate.
  • Time lost is never recovered: Procrastination is the worst enemy of progress. Doing the right thing at the right time is the magic that defeats the odds with the greatest tenacity.
  • Time stewardship is a tedious but worthwhile adventure: sticking to time in every activity is the only thing that can only be done without regret by serious-minded people as it is the only habit that unsuccessful people are not willing to attempt. Many unsuccessful people are comfortable with excellent excuses for not doing what they needed to do to succeed. They are ready to sacrifice remaining in utter poverty than to break its chain by obeying the demands of time.

No wonder the wisest king that ever lived on this planet spoke with great passion on the topic of time (Ecclesiastes 3 verse 1 to 8)

Everything on earth has its own time, and it’s own season.

There is a time for birth and death, planting and reaping.

For killing and healing, destroying and building, for crying and laughing, weeping and dancing, for throwing stones and gathering stones, embracing and parting.

There is a time for finding and losing, keeping and giving, for tearing and sewing, listening and speaking.

There is also a time for love and hate, for war and peace.

(Ecclesiastes 3 verse 1 to 8)

If surely time is this important, I admonish you to budget and spend on it. Do all you can to invest in it and see the difference it will make in your life.
