Happiness, true happiness, is an inner quality. It is a state of mind. If your mind is at peace, you are happy. If your mind is at peace, but you have nothing else, you can be happy. If you have everything the world can give – pleasure, possessions, power – but lack peace of mind, you can never be happy.
Dada Vaswani
Peace of mind is the absolute pre-requisite of a fulfilled life. Much as we all strive to find fulfilment in life, we seem to be too busy looking for it but in wrong places. Somehow, our panic in trying to accumulate material possession as the means of allowing our mind some measure of fortitude and rest may find ground for justification as human nature believes in abundance being the ultimate source of happiness.
Learning from others may broaden the spectrum of self even before we engage in introspection to confirm or affirm the cause of our failure in leading a fulfilled life.
James Allen asserts that
“Men are anxious to improve their circumstances, but are unwilling to improve themselves; they, therefore, remain bound.”
Bob Marley in one of his songs once said,
“Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery………..”
The essential pre-requisite in leading a fulfilled life is initially embedded in the ‘PEACE OF MIND’. It is a proven highest human good. An individual’s ability to achieve peace of mind is the only magnanimous measure of his or her success as it determines the amount of happiness one has to enjoy.
It is the inner peace that has the potential to break the spiral effect of failure. With the peace of mind, every failure is temporal and a necessary lesson of particular ways in which the intended objective can be inhibited.
With the peace of mind, one can afford a smile in the midst of adversity. Harness, the peace of mind and success, automatically becomes your portion as failure can’t scare you anymore because its temporary state is exposed.
Instead of spending all our energy improving the circumstances surrounding us, let us consider expending part of it in improving ourselves by seeking the peace of mind.
If it is Possible, As Far As it Depends on You, Live at Peace With Everyone

Happiness logarithm – by Francis Success Kunda
Claiming that happiness is lack of sadness is a falacy that humanity has accepted to grapple with for many generations. It’s indeed painful to note that reality has kept on drifting from its own confinements by breaking all it’s protocols and boundaries with impunity while human race is just watching from the terraces. Indeed, this compels every Noble man to cherish hopes that ‘wishes were horses.’ As if it’s a joke, all those that life seem to favor greatly by presenting them with what many people admire are after all rarely happy. If they are, their happiness is either short lived or very temporal. The fangs of life are like alcohol addiction, the more one takes, you the more miserable one becomes. The deeper the thicket the more lost one suddenly finds oneself. This indeed is very confusing, before one has, one craves and yet the more one acquires, the craving grows even bigger. The truth about life to a greater extent, lies in one’s perception. If one thinks he or she has, no doubt he or she will have even when it does not happen there and then, so long as the faith is maintained, it’ll come to pass. Happiness does not depend on the material possession but rather on the internal feeling of satisfaction. This in life is the logarithm of happiness.
